šŸ The garden is starting to tell us it`s almost time to rest.

Fall garden cleanup can be bittersweet.

Part of me is ready for a break. Another part of me isn`t quite ready to say goodbye to the flowers, vegetables, bees, and butterflies.

I`ve learned not to rush the process. There`s a balance between cleaning things up and leaving enough behind to support wildlife and protect the garden.

Building a rooted life doesn`t mean we have to make everything ourselves. There are things I genuinely enjoy making. And there are other things I`m perfectly happy letting someone else make for me.

I used to think I needed to understand everything before I started. So I researched. And researched. And researched some more. Eventually I discovered something slightly annoying: The garden was a much better teacher. You learn from the tomato you planted too close. The seeds that didn`t germinate. The lettuce that bolted.
And sometimes...the thing you planted completely wrong that somehow THRIVED. Research has its place. But confidence comes from doing.
Are you a research first person or a figure it out as I go person?
