This is game changer!!

As we have grown as gardeners we have learned new things that help us grow more and be more efficient. Vertical growing is what allowed us to grow hundreds of tomatoes last year that we turned into sauce. 🥰

You can do this too by growing vertical. Arches are a great place to start especially for beans and cucumbers.

Cattle panels on t-post are great for tomatoes.

This is game changer!!

So how do you attract those pollinators? Plant the flowers you love. Sunflowers, Zinnias, bee balm, cone flowers, sedum, cosmos, black eyed Susan’s, and so many more.

Who needs make up anyway?

Worms, pigs and mud is what this one wants and I am ok with that. She is caring, helpful and creative which is all I can ask for.

Plus watching her play outside with her siblings warms my heart. Keep on being you girl.

There’s vegetables that can tolerate some light frost which you can plant now (if you are like me with mid April being our last frost date) and other vegetables that need warmer soil and need to be planted after this date. Some veggies and fruit even need to be planted a month after your last frost date.

You have time to create a garden this year!! Don’t Panic!!

Take a quick look at your frost date and this will help you get your garden journey going.

The hummers have started to make their migration north, which means it’s time to hang those hummingbird feeders.

Follow this simple recipe for nectar 2 cups of water plus a half a cup of sugar. Heat in the microwave for 3 to 5 minutes and then stir to dissolve the sugar.

Let the mixture cool on the counter until room temperature then fill your hummingbird feeders.

We are working to move the raised bed garden. We didn’t realize that it looked like a grave yard till the neighbor stopped by.

It really does. Which is kinda fitting because it is the end of an era here at our Maryland homestead. 😔
