⬇️ Here’s what I mean…

Using apples can help make a sourdough starter because they provide natural yeasts that aid in the fermentation process. Here’s how apples contribute:

1️⃣Natural Yeasts: Apples, especially their skins, contain wild yeasts like Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is also found in the environment and on other fruits. These yeasts can help kickstart the fermentation process when added to flour and water.

2️⃣Nutrient Source: Apples provide nutrients such as sugars and minerals that can support the growth of yeast and bacteria in the sourdough starter. This helps create a favorable environment for the microorganisms to thrive.

Keeping up with your flower beds can take A LOT of precious time especially in this heat and drought. We had loads of timers and hoses sprawled out all of yard just to try and save our dying plants.

And they died anyway. So we decided to replace them with native plants that would be low maintenance and attract beneficial inspects to our garden.

What a game changer. We water less and still have a beautiful landscape that we enjoy. And now we get to enjoy the pollinators that visit each day.
