A Farm Adventure Made Just for Little Explorers

Give your students the chance to get out of the classroom, experience the farm with their own hands, and learn through something preschoolers do best: Explore. Play. Discover.

Our Preschool Farm Field Trip is a 3-hour, self-guided farm experience designed especially for children ages 3–5.

Rather than rushing children through a scheduled tour, your class is free to explore the farm at its own pace. Teachers and chaperones guide their groups between three hands-on stations, allowing plenty of time for curiosity, play, bathroom breaks, snacks, and those wonderfully unpredictable preschool moments.

Ready to Bring Your Class to the Farm?

Trade the classroom walls for flowers, fresh air, farm animals, and room to explore.

Whether they’re feeding an animal for the first time, racing across the playground, hunting for butterflies, or pretending to be a busy little bee, your preschoolers will experience the farm in a way that’s designed just for them.

Give your little learners a field trip they’ll remember.

Meet & Feed the Farm Animals

There’s nothing quite like meeting a farm animal up close!

Children will visit our farm animals and have the opportunity to help feed them while discovering a little about what animals eat and how farmers care for them.

Simple, kid-friendly signs help children and their grown-ups explore questions like:

What does this animal eat?
What does it feel like?
What does a farmer do to take care of it?

It’s hands-on learning they’ll be talking about long after they leave the farm.

Play at the Barn

Sometimes the best learning happens through play.

Our farm-themed playground gives little farmers a place to climb, move, imagine, and simply have fun.

Because the field trip is self-guided, your class can spend as much—or as little—time here as you’d like.

Run off some energy, pretend to be a farmer, and enjoy being outside!

Explore the Pollinator Garden

Our pollinator garden turns an important science lesson into an adventure preschoolers can understand.

Children will explore the garden through two activities:

🔎 Pollinator Scavenger Hunt

Children are encouraged to look, listen, smell, and discover as they explore the garden.

🌼 Be a Pollinator!

Now it’s time to become a bee!

Children move from flower to flower carrying pretend “pollen” along the way.

We Make Planning Easy for Teachers, Too.

Before your visit, you’ll receive our Preschool Farm Field Trip Teacher Guide so you’ll know exactly what to expect before the bus ever leaves school.

Your guide includes:

  • Farm map
  • Information about each station
  • Animal-feeding instructions
  • Pollinator-game instructions
  • Scavenger hunt
  • Farm safety rules
  • What children should wear
  • What to bring
  • Parking and arrival information
  • Restroom and handwashing information
  • Picnic information
  • Weather policies

On the farm, easy-to-follow signage helps teachers and chaperones guide children through each experience.

We’ll provide the setting and activities. You bring your little explorers.
